The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) and Temasek Polytechnic jointly launched the ASME Forum @ TP 2015 at TP Auditorium 1 & 2 Foyer yesterday.

Graced by guest-of-honour Ms Low Yen Ling, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education & Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Forum is the first career exhibition to be held in collaboration with a polytechnic since its inception in 2012.

Themed “Explore your Future, Secure your Career”, the job fair saw a turnout of around 3,000 polytechnic students, graduates and alumni visiting the over 30 SME booth exhibits, enquiring and applying for over 130 job openings and internships from a range of diverse industries.

At the opening ceremony of the Forum, Ms Low spoke of the importance of growing and developing a skilled workforce and how it should be encouraged from the get-go, starting with the next generation of workers. This she reiterated in a lively dialogue session with several SME representatives on the panel and student leaders from the polytechnic.

Overall, the event was a great success and ASME would like to thank the Temasek Polytechnic for their cooperation and SPRING Singapore for their continuous support.
