ASME welcomes changes to Cabinet

Singapore, 23 April 2019 – The Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME) looks forward to the next generation of leadership that is gradually taking shape for Singapore. The reshuffling of the Cabinet is the result of long-term vision, and preparation to ensure a smooth leadership transition.


ASME thanks Mr Teo Chee Hean and Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam for their years of service as Deputy Prime Ministers to the nation. Their statesmanship and commitment to building a stronger Singapore have made a significant impact on the community. As they assume duties as Senior Ministers in the Cabinet, ASME is confident that both Ministers will continue in the same spirit to bring Singapore to greater heights.


ASME offers its warmest congratulations to Mr Heng Swee Keat as he assumes duties as the Deputy Prime Minister with effect from 1 May 2019. We are confident that Minister Heng’s upcoming appointment will serve to enhance the country’s achievements on many fronts. ASME looks forward to working closely with Minister Heng in the near future to secure a better and brighter future for Singapore.
